Why would any games be ok to pirate
Its not like its impossible to get them legally

However, piracy of older titles offers major advantages. Such as the fact that you do not have to pay for physical media such as discs and carts. Which can be expensive from the get-go. Also, newer games often have extremely advanced security systems in place, so that piracy is impossible. Besides, great modern games aren’t terribly expensive, hell, some are free! So there’s no need for piracy in the first place

Yeah, Ik you don't have to pay for physical stuff that's the whole point of piracy but how does that make it okay
0 ups, 1w
They’re older titles that are no longer sold by their developers in their form for that console. They’re not making profits from it anyway

I agree, the game companies aren't getting any money from previous games

if u pirate helldivers 2 ur avatar is stuck looking like a furry, and when u move around a tank spawns, even on your ship where u cant really use guns, my friend pirated it because he wanted to troll.

I'm NOT saying pirating is good, but being called the scum of the earth for doing it is a teensy bit overdramatic

No its not
They are literally single handedly destroying the gaming industry

Piracy doesn’t destroy the gaming industry single-handedly. While it is wrong, most attempts at piracy result in unplayable games and often console bricks. Pirates get what they deserve naturally. You don’t have to call them “ThE sCuM of THe EaRTh” in order to stop them.

Nice argument except for the part where you said that piracy often results in unplayable games and bricked consoles
Pirating games is shockingly easy

The people who pirated the game never intended to buy in the first place
0 ups, 1w
What does that have to do with anything
If you never intended to buy the game in the first place then just don't buy the game
Its not like if you don't want to pay full price for a game then someone's gonna come and put a gun to your head and tell you to steal it

there are many other factors that contribute to that, sure they don't help but still
1 up, 1w
other factors include: stock prices, inflation, bad games, pay to win, bad comunity, nobody likes the game, nobody plays the game, bad servers, the company it is owned by, the exicution of the game design, poor story telling, weak fanbase, reused ip, hard to learn game mechnics, and several more.
this is why i stick to indy games. they have heart and soul poured in.

Even if they are over priced?

take this thought. its not like they were going to buy it anyways. so why should they pay for something they wouldent pay for?
0 ups, 1w,

Bro you literally just said you can go into a store just take whatever you want without paying for it but its okay because you weren't going to buy it anyway

that would be stealing and thats not legal. but on the internet you got roughly 5.35 billion active itterations of people and a deep sea of several trillion past frozen in time copys within the size of a strawberry. you aint seeing anything. plus what you are taking is a copy that can be replicated with ease. the actual price is far less.

pirating games is still stealing
if you pirate a game then you are taking away profit that could've been made had you bought the game from the developers.
plus, i doubt that people who pirate a game weren't going to buy it anyway, because if that were true why would they want to pirate it

game devs are over pricing games when thy say 100$ or 60$ thats alot for a tripple a title. especialy when comapring to indy game devs who make better games at a lower price.
when people pirate it is usualy because they are board andhave nothing to do. also a small percentage actualy do that on a large scale.

So you think that its ok to steal because you are bored? If you are really that bored, just buy the game. You said it yourself, most indie game devs only charge like 4 or 5 dollars for a game that is a lot better than most triple A titles. As for the part about game devs charging too much for games, essentially what you said was "oh no this company is so evil for wanting to make money off of their hard work even though that is the literal purpose of a company!" If you can't afford to buy a game for $60, you probably should find a new hobby.

if you steal 10$ from a ritch guy with over ten billion dollars. do you think they would care? no. what im saying is profiting of garbage games is bad. also why steal from indie devs if you actualy want to buy the game? i think dfferently than most people. this leads me to beleve that capitalism is bad. "oooh i love collecting qorthless filthly pathogen covered peices of paper-coth. having more of them means i am cool." thats stupid. if a indy game dev had that sae mindset i wouldent be buying things from them because their game desnt have the soul of a few people behind it. also who gets to say when i stop fighting the nameless deity just because you say i cant afford a 60$ game?

I don't think someone with a billion dollars is going to care if you steal ten dollars from him, but if one person does then everyone is going to until he has no money left, and then he is going to care.
So you think its okay to steal because you think you are some kind of righteous warrior who is fighting back against the evil corporations trying to take over the world. This isn't Mirror's Edge dude, there is nothing wrong with wanting to make money off of something you created. I don't think that these companies are nearly as big as you think they are. They aren't those huge globalist corporations aiming for world domination like Amazon or Microsoft, they just want to make video games and make money off of them.

i do not think i am a warrior. i do not think im part of a crusade. you took the first swipe, im only playing defencively. setting things back to what they were. no piracy is not good but its not bad. (example being racest on marten luther king day is worce than being racest on a different day but it is still bad.)
im only defending this because my gf pirates things. and my brother. lots of actualy intelectual computer people pirate things.
im just trying to make points so you can back off. but im tierd of your bs. this is done and this converse will ride you till your grave.
0 ups, 5d
yes, because what i have been saying is actual arguments with factual information and it is still "bs," meanwhile your entire argument has been "you disagree with me so that means you are wrong no matter what you say" and you haven't even spelled a word correctly the entire time.
