You do know the Constitution is as literal as it gets in its meaning and words don't you. That's why it's only four pages in length. The whole 'open for interpretation' is also a type of myth/lie.
What Jefferson wrote about was people's fear of waking up one morning and learning that the US no longer a Christian based country but a Baptist, Methodist, Quaker, or one of the other denominations nation.
Yeah people say 'freedom of religion' without realizing those words don't exist in the Bill of Rights. It just says Congress CANNOT make laws concerning the advancement, suppression, or influence of religion.
What people like the Left have done is use the excuse of 'Separation of Church and State' in getting Christianity shut down in the public square. It's another in line that DOES NOT EXIST in the Constitution. They do this by using another Constitutional Clause that states that courts can declare the constitutionality of a law or concern. . .but wait. . .that power for the courts DOES NOT EXIST in the Constitution.
In other words dems/leftists use powers that NEVER EXISTED IN THE CONSTITUTION to get their way.
