The Constitution only says 'enemies domestic' without defining the enemy nor says what the president can do to them. Granted it might be a slippery slope but it can be narrowed down to elected officials who don't do their jobs.
And here's the insane part. How many of these ancient countries had a strong Christian base or whatever their faith was that happened during the time of the Apostles(Book of Acts, Epistles, etc.) and sooner only to be turned inside out later on at some point because of another religion that starts with the letter I.
