The rules got changed after WW2. Truman threatening to continue to use a-bombs on Japan until they surrendered or there was nothing left was partly a bluff however the spirit of the threat was real. It was the last time the USA got an unconditional surrender out of the enemy.
Hahahha. It's also funny watching Muslims trying to convert Asian countries. In China that gets a person disappeared/jailed/work camp.
In Japan a person trying it gets ignored. The Japanese also knows what is disruptive and dangerous to them. When living on an island resources and livable land is very limited. They can't just let anyone in that will have a harmful affect on overall society. Japan no doubt sees what is happening with their sibling island Britain and said, "Lol! NOPE! Not for us!"
While Japan and Christians never had the best of histories(Government had to Government and Vatican had to Vatican), today's Japan knows Christians won't try to enforce draconian rules and laws onto their society.
For the longest time I thought it was cruel when ancient civilizations would put even children to the sword after a battle/war. . .then I learned that even children can hold a grudge and will carry it well into adulthood to the point of desiring blood thirsty revenge more than anything else.
And today dems have willingly planted grudges into children so they can be seekers of revenge for perceived slights as they grow older and things like this meme happen.
The Constitution only says 'enemies domestic' without defining the enemy nor says what the president can do to them. Granted it might be a slippery slope but it can be narrowed down to elected officials who don't do their jobs.
