Abortion was outlawed up till the early 20th century and the Hippocratic Oath has the provision that states a doctor will not give medicine to end a pregnancy. . .then Margret Sanger and people like her came along. . .who believed in a lot worse than just ending a developing human life. . .
Thing of it is, 'gun control' or rather 'weapon control' isn't new either and I don't even mean the likes of Hitler or Stalin either. I'm talking wwwaaayyy back in time to ancient Israel. I've read a couple of things about how ancient Israelis were tempted to give up their swords, spears, bows, etc. It wasn't because God said to be more like a peacemaker or that Israel was being a bit too violent for even a violent point in history. To be honest, God did forbid King David from building the Temple because he warred too much.
It's because some corrupt political type tried to weaken the populace by disarming them.
Even in the New Testament, while Jesus did warn 'those who live by the sword(or whatever weapon) shall perish by the weapon(or whatever weapon)'. For example if a person's counterargument is to always pull gun then someday that person will be shot in return and even killed.
However nowhere does Jesus say to completely give up a sword(or weapon). Now that I think about, the Apostle that got bit by that poisonous snake may have cut it down. Just because his faith protected him from the poison, it didn't mean everyone else had that kind of faith. By killing the snake it would prevent other travelers from being poisoned and dying from snake poison. . .which is a very painful way to die.
What ticks me off is that the dems/leftists have the audacity to called what those two people did an act of 'civil disobedience.' That's not how it works.
