Shoot, it's more human perception vs God's perception the majority of the time anyway. Just look at Nineveh and Jonah.
God - "Jonah, warn Nineveh they better knock it off OR ELSE!"
Jonah - "Are you kidding me!? After what they did to YOUR PEOPLE?! They're the worst of the worst! Absolutely not!"
God - "I want to show them and everyone else that I'm not all wrath and wiping out whole cities like Sodom and Gomorrah who absolutely refused to repent of any of their sins."
Jonah - "No, and you can't make me!"
*One or two acts of God causing ships with Jonah on board to go toward Nineveh and three days in a large fish later.*
Jonah - "Okay, okay, still not happy. I stink, feel miserable, and there's something wrong with this tree you made for me."
God - "This generation of Nineveh will spared and that is what matters. What's more important? Your feelings, the condition of the tree or that I chose mercy for a group of people that everyone said should be damned and destroyed."
