It's exactly the same on a cellular level. Millions of Americans prefer torturing living beings. I don't understand it but I've never enjoyed torturing or suffering.

Killing animals for meat is not torturing, you have the wrong idea. Have you heard of a gun? One rightly-placed shot and the animal is instantly dead without pain. You really live under a rock. There are a lot of ways to kill animals, without torturing them, using a wide variety of weapons. After the Flood, God himself told Noah to kill the animals for meat to eat.

Let me show you the difference:

Killing is just striking someone down as quickly as possible, to cause death as soon as possible

Torture is when you deliberately cause painful deeds to someone, without the intent of killing them right away but instead prolonging their suffering

You have an opinion. I have an opinion.
Your opinion is not right for me and my opinion isn't right for you. Killing, taking an innocent life ... is torture and suffering. It doesn't matter how you kill. It's life is taken. That's suffering and torture no matter how everyone justifies it. You have the wrong idea.

I've never used a holy book to justify killing but many people do try to. Noah didn't eat flesh. Cain's people did because they thought they could get the animal's power. I've read the bible too. Both of them. King Jame's rewritten version isn't "The Bible". It's King Jame's Version of the actual bible so I don't spend much time believing a man's version of God's word. God's actual word is ... Thou shall not kill. All the rest is man's word. Not God's.

I'm telling you again: There's a big difference between quick death and torturing. I don't get why you call killing animals torturing. If you brutally beat an animal or cut it to pieces while alive, that's torturing. If it gets quickly killed though like with a gun or bow, there is no suffering. The animal dies without knowledge, without suffering.
