Even my own dad has told me that I’m selfish for not wanting kids. Who am I being selfish against? The kids who don’t even exist?
You know what’s selfish? Having children to collect government checks and letting an iPad raise them. That’s selfish.
Don’t get me wrong. I love my dad, and he raised me to the absolute best of his ability with my mom. If anyone is a blueprint for how to parent, it’s him. But I do not want kids. And if you don’t want kids, don’t let anyone shame you into having them because of some standard for selfishness they invented.
