You know he's leaning on and talking to a stone statue located on the Notre Dame Cathedral don't you? The scene used here is the finale from the 1939 film starring Charles Laughton. Might I suggest you watch it as it is a great film version of Hugo's book of the same name.

Yes, I've seen the movie several times. Charles Laughton was bi-sexual. He acknowledge that personally. My initial response was sarcastically made.
