Yikes. This got tense. Everyone is equally entitled to their beliefs to a certain degree. As long as those beliefs do not oppress or silence those of others and if they are oppressive, they are kept in your head, I think it is fine. I personally support gays and think homophobia is unjust, but, again everyone is entitled.

Calm down people! There's a thing called freedom of religion. It means that everyone can believe in what the heck they want, or yes, they can be atheist. Also there's a thing called human rights. It means that everyone must be treated equally, yes, even people that are a part of a sexual, romantic or gender minority.

But the right to have a religion ends at other people’s rights to not be verbally attacked (unless they are an a**hole and deserve it).

I'm not saying that freedom of religion allows you to attack other people. I mentioned the freedom of religion to tell them that people can be atheist if they want.
