I used to look up to these people. It's bad when a person I know who's been a democrat supporter for over 30 years says it's all trash now.

That person shouldn't blame themselves; the Democrats are largely moving to an ideology they deny exists: the alt-left. Even openly liberal people are willing to admit the alt-left is real. There's probably a few honest Democrats out there somewhere, but the ones in U.S. Congress are the exact liberal equivalent of the conservative extremist "alt-right" they call out. I'm not denying the alt-right is real--it is-- but the Democrats are largely becoming alt-left.

Yes, I do realize that. But none of the "average" Democrats are in the White House or Congress at the moment. You can be a liberal and be honest. You can support the Democrat agenda and be a good person. What I'm saying in my previous comment, however, is that the Democrats holding power are the ones on the alt-left. But just because you're a Democrat doesn't mean you're the same kind of person. I do acknowledge that kind of person exists, and that's kind of what I meant to state by putting in that article URL. If you're a Democrat and you're offended by my previous comment, or this meme, I'm sorry. I should have been more specific with the title of the meme and maybe the top text. I should have realized the title I used might be offensive. That's on me. You have the right to have an opinion. You shouldn't support, however, the politicians who are only interested in themselves and their own power. A lot of the Democrats in office right now are just that. Vote for the good ones of the bunch, if you truly support them. Just not the bad ones.
