And the sun has a corona... Oh dear....
reply
0 ups, 2d
the sun: *coughs heat and suddendly expands* then the earth would be infected and all life would die (eventually the earth itself)

Technically they say that the sun will swallow the earth in a few billion years so there will be more diseases beyond 10000
reply

the last year is 10000 though so that’s why and the world ends in 10000 according to the calendar

Only difference is this plague is only dangerous because we are literally not allowed to treat it.

Yeah, and the word has been used for many purposes now... The name of a beer brand, the collective name of the corona viruses (named after the crown form) and the atmosphere of the sun is also called the corona (as is has a bit of crown form). the word crown itself is derived from corona, although the pronunciation changed over time I guess. The Dutch word "kroon" has the same history, and the Swedish word "krona" can be even put in a more closer relation as "corona", the pronunciation is even a bit like it.

"Peak complacent and stupid" then

Borrowed from Latin corōna (“garland, crown”), from Ancient Greek κορώνη (korṓnē, “garland, wreath”), from ... corona (plural coronas or coronae or coronæ)

The second bubonic plauge (the one that killed 1/3 of Europe) was around 1347

Every 100 years there is a new plague, every 10 years there is a new flu, but every 1 years humans get even more lazy. One day, we will be the fat people in WallE, as fat as ever and living our helpless lives in hovering chairs

Well history repeats itself and the future can be predicted by looking at the past. that's my theory at least.

You cannot make exact predictions (then again, even a (real) soothsayer can't), but sometimes you can see things in the future coming by looking at the past. But one thing I've learned also. Interpreting the history wrong or taking too much pride in it, can easily repeat the mistakes of the past also. So history is both our friend and enemy, so it seems.
