Good one! I didn't get it at first.
Actually, it's quite sad. He has publicly admitted that he didn't expect to win the election, that he ran because it would be good for business.
All he REALLY had to do was tell Pence, "Look ... I never expected to win this thing. YOU'VE done this stuff. YOU sit in the meetings with us, etc., and then tell me privately what I should do. Of course, **I'LL** take credit for it, but at least we'll be doing a good job."
Unfortunately, I work for a "low-rent Donald Trump" who has all the same personality flaws--family money, no clue how to manage a business, pathological liar, thinks she's "brilliant", thinks EVERYBODY else is totally incompetent ... (hey--40% ANNUAL employee turnover, few employees stay more than 2 years in a field where tenure usually is 5-8 years, it's not the EMPLOYEES who are incompetent ...)
