Oh hi, Nixie. Most people haven't. It is a quite famous movie, though. He's also famous for Twin Peaks (TV series from the 90s) and The Elephant Man. Eraserhead is nothing short of insanity encapsulated in a film. It makes you wonder what the f**k you are doing watching something like it. It makes you wonder if this is a waste of your time. It also makes you wonder what the f**k was going through Lynch's head when he was developing this film. He spent five years on this "masterpiece", which if you know this prior to watching the movie, is absolutely mind-boggling. The movie is beyond bizarre. It makes you uncomfortable, but it also somehow entertains. I recemmend trying to watch it someday. It's worth at least trying.

I remember watching Twin Peaks. I was in maybe 8th grade when that show was on. I also recall the Elephant Man. Maybe I'll watch this thing. It sounds interesting.

It's a trip, that is for sure.

On a different note, I just received my Jimmy John's order and the quartered pickle is rotten. It is an extreme disappointment, as I am obsessed with pickles. And, not in the way that Craven is. I also ordered these new small sandwiches that they have, and they are the size of soft shell taco from Taco Bell. Seems like a ripoff to me.

Autumn is my favorite season and the weather I love the most is here! I cannot wait to get out on the disc golf course on a crisp autumn day!

It's nice of you to home school your kids. There is way too much indoctrination going on in public schools right now. Teachers need to stop pushing their beliefs on children. Only parents should be allowed to do that, and even then, the kids should be encouraged to make up their own minds. If I wrote a creative/fun quiz for your kids, would you administer it to them and share the results with me?

Cheers,

Dankinator

I have never eaten food from Jimmy John's. We don't have one near us now that we live in a less populated area. That pickle thing is a capital offense. I love pickles, and serving me a rotten one would result in drama. LOL!

I love Fall. The cooler temperatures are always a welcome luxury. The heat just drags me down. I have a friend who plays disc golf. He is really into it too. One may wonder if it weren't his religion.

I like to present issues to my kids in an entirely unbiased way and ask them what they think. I am always interested in seeing who they are totally on their own with out any steering from me. I don't tend to talk politics around the house very much. But now and then something will come up. It will also be interesting to see how they change based on different influences as they get older and thus more independent.

That sounds like a fun idea. For the purpose of making sure questions are age appropriate they are ages 10 and 12.

Jimmy John's is like the McDonald's of sub sandwiches, so not that great. Tasty, but not that good for you. Pickles are the bomb. I can eat a jar or even two in one short sitting.

Yes, summer heat drags me down, too. Not fun. Disc golf is great. Good exercise. Nice walk through the park. Inexpensive. Novel. It's got it all. You should go with your friend sometime and take your kids. Flying a disc is so much fun!!!

You're a good teacher. Kids need to figure themselves out for themselves. Life isn't fair, even if some people believe they can enact policies to prevent every person from being offended at any thing, ever again.

Okay, ages 10 to 12. Can the quiz be silly, as in it presents silly scenarios, yet still has an educational twist (i.e. simple math, history, etc. questions)?

Silly is great! We do Fun Friday each week actually. On Fridays the lessons are fun. Games, videos and activities of silly or generally relaxed nature. You would be surprised at how much they have learned just from the Friday lessons. So bring it on!

Mmmmkay, I will prepare a quick for each age and will submit it to you before 5pm CST next Wednesday. Will that work for you?

*quiz, not quick...

Would you believe I typed "quick" again when I went to correct myself here? It's Friday and I've received and sent over 100 emails every day this week. Carpal tunnel is in my near future, unfortunately.

Cool. Will be looking forward to it!
