The government is supposed to serve the people, not rule them. When the government rules the people you get the USSR, North Korea, Castro's Cuba, most middle-eastern countries, and of course Nazi Germany.

I haven't heard of libertarian socialism, but I know enough to know the term is an oxymoron. Socialism calls for redistricting, or "sharing" of wealth and resources. This will not magically happen, a guiding body must oversee and enforce this. A guiding body that oversees and enforces things is called a government. A large, powerful, and intrusive government is an inherent part of socialism (whether socialists admit it or not). Libertarianism is litterally about as little (or possibly even no) government as possible. This means no guiding body (government) to oversee and enforce the "sharing" of wealth.

The fact that they try to paint themselves as libertarian is kinda disgusting, tbh. They are FAR from it, and give the whole ideology a bad name just by association
