Haha! :)

I don't know if it's true or not, but someone once told me they got a truck from their company, and the guy who had it before had left a bunch of used colostomy bags inside the truck that no one had cleaned out. He said it was really nasty.

No-one detected a smell? :0

Or if they did, they were just too lazy to clean the bags out :o

Congratulations!! :) now I have to ask, how did you figure it out?
reply

It was just a guess. You told me a long time ago about someone in your family that lives there.

Yup, my dad :) I'll be technically moving in with him, but I'm keeping my job as a truck driver, so I'll still be out on the road most of the time.

You just earned yourself a bunch of upvotes! :D

Closer than San Jose to Portland, wouldn't it? (Is San Jose where you're originally from?)
reply

I was born and raised in the San Jose area, yup :) what was the other question? I don't think I understand it.

Maryland to the Atlanta area is much closer than from San Jose to Portland. Living out west it always amazes me when people from back east talk about the distances they have to travel back there. H3ll, it's often like one long cityscape in places...

Actually I was living way down near Long Beach :) from Long Beach to Portland is probably close to 950-1000 miles.

Yeah, if you put Oregon and Washington together, they probably have more square mileage than all of New England! (Just a guess, but probably correct)
reply

Probably. Just to go from Portland to Seattle takes 3 hours and it's all like the same 'hood up here. I used to go to college in Spokane and that's 7 to 8 hours (safely). Going back and forth there lets you feel the immensity of the northwest landscape, especially when rolling through the Yakima reservation.

Yeah, that squeeze between the Willamette and the west hills can make rush hour traffic a bit like trying to get the last toothpaste out of the tube.

The guy who trained me with my first truck driving job lives in Spokane :) I still talk to him once or twice a year

I haven't been there in 20+ years. It was a raw and working-class town back in the '80s; I imagine gentrification would make it near-unrecognizable to me today.

Speaking of commuting...this was me earlier today. 1 hour 37 minutes to go 22 miles from Portland to Wilsonville

lol Welcome to the east coast. Hope it's a good move for you. My nephew is stationed in Baltimore as an MP with the Coast Guard. He's hoping to get back down this way though. Chad and Jessica just moved from Charleston to Columbia, so they are now only two hours from me. Hoping to take a Saturday and go down there soon :-)

I'm still driving my truck, so the only thing that's really going to change is my address and drivers license. I'll be just south of Baltimore.

It's good that they are closer to you now, but too bad they aren't near the ocean anymore.

I'm guessing either California, since your last meme you said you were driving through there, or Florida.

It's hard to remember where everyone lives on this site. I remember DashHopes is Canadian, but can't remember exactly where in Canada he lives. I think Raydog is from Nebraska, but not exactly sure. There's a few memers I remember being from Texas.

I could have sworn Raydog was from Nebraska. Maybe it was some other memer. And I'm originally from the Seattle/Bremerton area.

Raydog is from Nebraska. Somewhere near Grand Island, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours west of Omaha.

You're originally from the Seattle area? That's cool, I didn't know that. How long did you live there?
