Did you see Thor? And is it good?

Yes, I saw Thor! But I didn't like it! It was action-packed, but I expected more from Thor and The Hulk! As for "Thor's Hammer" there are only 2 persons which can lift Thor's hammer, and "Hela" isn't one of them.

In the movies, I guess only Thor and Vision can lift the hammer. Captain America moved it a little, which in the comic he did wield it. And in the comics at least a dozen have lifted his hammer. Sucks you didn't like the movie, it has been getting good reviews. I'll end up seeing it anyway. Just wanted your opinion.

Other than the fact Hela can wield Thor's hammer, which I personally disliked as well, it was a great movie. It had comedy, action...uh...comedy.. and...action...

From what I understand, they made the movie version of Hela as a combination of 3 characters. Hela, Death, and I forget the other one. They want her to be OP. And many speculate that Thanos will be trying to win her over. Just a little different than the Infinity Stone comic book story line. Thor is a very powerful character, they need to have bigger threats for villains.

Hela is the goddess of death in Norse mythology, but is not Thor's or Loki's sister. In fact, Ragnorok is caused because Loki and Hela had several children together (all monsterous, Fenrir the Wolf is the most famous one), each capable of consuming the world. Loki is imprisoned and forced to suffer eternal acid dripping onto his face for not killing his children (Odin's orders), but only contained them. Interestingly, Loki's wife (I don't recall her name, but definitely not Hela), holds a cup to catch the acid, but when it fill completely, she must empty it, accidentally allowing acid to hit him. When Ragnorok occurred, Loki would then break free, and freed his children, and allowed Hela to cross into Midguard (the Earth) and Asguard (Home of the Gods), causing death and destruction. The Norse gods fought those monsters Hela, and Loki, and all of them were killed, including Thor. The Earth survived, and humanity survived. Ragnorok isn't like most end of the world stories, because all it does is kill the gods, monsters, and most of humanity. The vikings considered themselves the survivors of Ragnorok.

Oh, and Valhalla isn't referenced at all. Odin prepared for Ragnorok by taking the best warriors to his grand hall, to prepare for the end of days.

I'm sorry are hel and this chick the same cause pretty sure hel is ruler of the underworld where the disgraced dead go

I think they were supposed to be the same. And I wasn't specific enough in that regard. Thanks for clarifying for me. Yes, the dead who were never enough for Valhalla. Only the best went to Valhalla, while the rest went to the Underworld. That's at least what I understood from when I learned the norse myths.
