But let me clarify. Some GIFs don't need audio (like your green arrow for instance). I have no problem at all with these. In fact, I've used some, myself, on other sites.
What irks me are the ones that have, let's say, some obscure guy who is obviously speaking in public. But without sound, you have no clue who he is or what he's saying. It's a total waste of my time.
And while I applaud the effort in posting any GIF, I just wish the poster would have a little more consideration for the viewer.

So why would a "gif with no audio" irk you? None have audio. In other words it's a given that a gif is a gif with no audio.

Saying you don't like gifs with no sound is like saying you don't like black and white movies with no color.

Stop fixating on the issue of soundlessness. My point of contention wasn't with ALL gifs....just the ones in a certain category. Now leave me the hell alone.
