While I don't think it's something that should be fought over, I can see your point, and it makes me wonder how many others misjudge your meaning when you state things like you have. Like I don't think you intend to come off the way you do to others, however even you should admit that sometimes you can be rather vague when it comes to how you mean things.
To me sexual orientation means nothing if not who you wish to make love to. You find a person that you are attracted to, who makes you feel like your world is a better place with them in it. And as you grow to realize how great they are you become attracted to them in a sexual sense as well.
I don't care who loves who, or what gender other people choose to feel this way about. If they find somebody like that who makes them feel good about themselves then who am I to judge them for their choice?
I am a dude who likes females and has always liked females, but I'm not the type to believe since I feel that way that anybody who doesn't is wrong. Sure nature seems to be on my side yet when it comes to something as complicated as love it would be rather pig headed of me to think I know what that is supposed to be entirely.
So I guess in closing what I mean to say is, a persons sexual orientation is simply who it is they have been able to find love for in this messed up world. No matter what the case may be, I am happy for anybody who finds somebody to love, Lord knows I have had a hard enough time with it and I'm what many might refer to as "traditional" in that sense.
