In all seriousness tho, Ive seen it too. The stuff that annoys me the most is like when people make memes for personal convos then submit them. "Haha lol johnny sucks lol so funny"
Earlier last year, I made a this meme, it got like 7 upvotes. Two days later- someone posts it virtually word for word and it makes the front page. The only thing that pisses me off about stuff like that is when people knowingly just outright steal your idea and take credit for it.
I think it's a similar situation to birthday memes etc. Some newer users apparently don't realize that you can generate a meme to put somewhere else without submitting it.
Those memes never get upvoted very high in Hot, so even though it's technically breaking a submission guideline, it's not that big a deal.
