Yeah why don't we? Why do we say "Kids are too young to know about this" when learning completely age appropriate topics? Why do we say "That's grooming!" at kids dressing up in a way that's different than normal? Why do we have to distance them from topics that are important to making them be accepting and more true to themself? Why do we always tell them straight is normal but when we say not straight is normal it's grooming? Why do we ignore all the cases of sexual abuse from straight people but when one gay person does it it's a reason to kill them all? Why don't we let kids be kids?

It's not necessarily sexual grooming, but it is ideological grooming. The word can have two different meanings.

Then I'd be curious as to why the people who agree with what you said never call "grooming" on fundie schools (IBLP for example) that teach kids the earth is 6000 years old, that being sexually abused is somehow their fault, and keep them ignorant about how to get help if they're in danger within the church community
