Politics: The Time-Waster

Nah...everything around you is politics. Politics is how a society is created and maintained, and destroyed. Politics is vital whether you like it or not.

No, mayors are politics, governors are politics, presidents are politics, KINGS are politics. Politics is something we could do without. It's spilled more blood than it's saved.

Peace is achieved through politics. War is achieved through politics. Society is achieved through politics. Politics is everywhere. It won’t disappear.

I think you're confusing politics with government. Government is an aspect of politics, but government is not the definition of politics.

Politics wasn't even a thing in caveman times. Hell, it didn't even exist until human became intelligent enough to form civilizations. It wasn't even a thing when the dinosaurs were alive.

So if you're saying that politics didn't exist until we were intelligent enough to form civilizations, wouldn't that make politics a good thing necessary for the development and growth of civilization and society?

Um, trading, hunting, fighting, and leading aren't necessarily "politics". I mean, you don't have to be a politician to be a leader. I mean, animals don't have politics, and they get around just fine.

Politics as defined as wikipedia is: "The set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.” Cavemen definitely made decisions in groups, had some sort of power structure with a leader on the top, distributed resources among each other, and some cavemen probably had a higher status than other cavemen.

I'm pretty sure living in a cave and hunting for food doesn't involve politics.

Trading which may have happened during the stone age involves politics. Having some sort of system where there is a leader among the caveman involves politics. Cavemen fighting each other for women, food, and resources involves politics, and so on and so forth.
