Seriously, these "memes" of people begging for upvotes are dumb and are diluting the quality of the memes on IMGFLIP!

PS - I do understand there is some irony in me making a meme that is about the dumb begging-for-upvotes memes...however, I am truly trying to bring people together to call out this nonsense. It is ruining the site for me, so I suspect there are others who already left to go elsewhere, in hopes that "elsewhere" does not have the same problem...

It is to the point where I'm becoming less and less interested in checking the front page...oh well, all good things come to an end. Just wish it wasn't happening to imgflip so soon...

Thanks. This whole points issue is rather stupid because they're not good for anything! And they don't mean anything. It's not like you win a t-shirt, cheap key chain, coffee mug, etc.
The only thing they prove is how good you are playing at popularity contests. Big whoop!

Lately, and this is most unfortunate, that has been the case. I don't think anything can be done about it because the mobs that run around this site upvoting each others' memes all day everyday are the ones who will garner the most upvotes, and therefore, will be on the front page frequently. Major bummer!

I agree 100%. In fact, I made a post today saying something similar. It's one of the reasons I don't stick around like I used to. I'm sick of seeing them.

I dont blame you, the top memes on this site have really gotten lackluster, maybe we've just seen it all and now it's not as enamoring...regardless, you're one of the first friends I made on this site and I'm glad to hear from you.
