The two least trusted candidates in the primaries, Clinton and Trump, while the most trusted, Sanders, got railroaded out. He was the only one that had a higher than 50% trust rating. Still, people like Cruz and Ryan, both more trusted than Trump (who was ahead of Clinton by 1 point on trust) got railroaded too.

I dunno. Cruz, et al split the establishment vote while Trump got 100% of the "f**k everything" vote. And "f**k everything" is waaay more popular than the GOP or the Democrats.

True. The conservatives realized with the advent of the TEA party that their reps weren't working for them, and told their leaders F* off. The Democrats were emboldened about electing the first black president that the mission became to elect the first woman president. I don't have anything against that, but They chose the wrong woman. I don't know how many times I was called a misogynist because I wouldn't support Hillary, so I wound up calling those folks antisemitic for not supporting Bernie. As I understand it, the DNC has already selected the woman they'll back in 2020, and she's not all that great. No dynasty there.
