But That's None Of My Business Meme | YOU WOULD KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IF YOU WORKED WITH SMALL CHILDREN | image tagged in memes, but thats none of my business, kermit the frog | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
If you want to get technical; A screaming five year old throwing a tantrum is a "protest". I volunteer with a lot of small kids, and there is a fine line between protests and just being a crybaby.

Also, my guess is your opinion would be completely different if the tables were turned

And typos and autorejects to boot. Sorry. Heydrich ran the Brown Shirts - until the Nazis had complete power - then he was stabbed to death along with his also Gay lieutenant. By the SS/Gestapo. - who assumed secret police duties once the SA had given them control of the streets - through acts of not QUITE random brutality.

I probly was getting tired and gothic - damn near rococco- in the ornamentation and detail. Clearly, my bad.

The later point was comparing the KOCH's ginning up opposition to Obama's Presidency - from before he had it....all the way to a few years ago (Correspondents' Dinner was a Shit sando for Donald) based on more or less racist, xenophobic, and entirely spurious reasons, to the false narrative in this thread (but accepting the validity of it - ad arguendo - as a given. So agreed - very hard to follow.
Then, I point out that they OUTNUMBER the Trump volks - and would WIN a street battle. Hence the SA is on the FLIP - instead of the streets. I was pointing out that the SA in this country are HARDER on the net than real life.

And sure righties love AR's, but so do the homies. And sure probably not quite as gangster in Portland - but there are some. And who wants another civil war, really...cause I'm ready.

I did that horribly. Again sorry and hope that helped - and was worth a BMOF's wrath.

i think my comment was against the grain, judging from the rest of the comments i read :-p we have this same thing in the UK with the people who lost the Brexit vote, 6 months later they're still complaining, i know it's not nice when your team loses but people just need to get on with it. When you look at the UK and US we're like the biggest democracies going, supposed to be setting an example to other nations but then you look at Brexit and the election and see how the losing team reacts...it's not making us look too clever :-/

Is there someway to do more than merely UPVOTE the only sensible comment on this page?

Could I leverage UPVOTE default-swap-credits - to add in the upvotes of my as yet non-existent offspring. I'm just going to assume that I manage to fare better than Germany's White Rose Society did - and stay out of President Pence' FEMA camps for non conformist sinners. Sin's ok - if you on the Straussian Dominionist Team.

Don'tyou mean that it was their SPONSORS - in Corporatist Murica - that got people elected. And which tea party do you mean.... the Patriots or the holiday inn Express version...

And MOST of the REAL work was done years prior. Gerrymanding the districts UNDER the Hammer - convicted Felon - Tom DeLay provided lots of oddly shaped GOP friendly districts - producing the FALSE appearance of a majoritarian rule in the Congrefs. In fact JUST the opposite. Which is why most of the savvy political handicappers ...unaware of the vote machine/tabulators being rigged (so not THAT SAVVY, obviously) had predicted 0 future presidential success for the GOP.

But aside from questionable counts....they usually anticipate people voting in their OWN INTEREST. And that isn't a given with poor, poorly educated, righteously ANGRY people. They are SUPER easy to manipulate... So just TELL''EM that you HAVE A PLAN - and that if you get elected, that you have a FINAL SOLUTION to all their problems and questions. But you can't talk about specifics UNTIL you're in office.

By then you're into POWER....and a good portion of your surplus population (useless eaters) are in.secure facilities - where 'Work makes you Free'.

Hey John - good to see you. Sincerely. Like I say - you funny Cuzz.

I Disagree with your assertions as being factual.

Cattle and sheep can't vote...and that is who one is talking about in terms of the real numbers in most of those "fly-over' counties. In real numbers the right wing amounts to @ most 26% - which correlates well with Bush/Cheney/Truump - STRONG SUPPORT - numbers.

Now most Muricans are completely confused about a WHOLE LOT. Like Obamacare....KYNEXT (I believe that's the exchange name in Kentucky) is super popular....JUST not OBAMACARE. Which sounds foreign and SCARY... "Keep your GOVERNMENT HANDS OFF MY MEDICARE" - was always a favorite Tea Partier Sign quote. Sigh.

I DO AGREE that she totally was AWFUL. Which is why Joe Biden would have been a far better 'mainstream' (eventual convention winner) choice....but after the death of his son....he pulled out. I wonder if HILLROD had anything to do with that....?

Both Biden and BERNIE polled ahead of Hill - who left Trump behind consistently...right up to election night. Still unsure of how to make sense of the results. As I may have mentioned, I would LOVE to see and compare exit polls, to REPORTED precinct tallies.

On the morning of post-election day Wednesday in 2004, I watched a very talented and capable News Director be fired. For simply reporting (in an email blast - NOT EVEN ON AIR) what to this Day, I am convinced was the TRUTH.

He found a University Mathematics and/or Stats Prof. - who had done an analysis of exit polls versus reported results in PA. His Conclusion - PA was stolen by vote machine. And Ohio had problems too, as you MAY recall.

So if you want to make me another tinfoil hat - for THIS election cycle only, please... I will try it on for fit. But I tend to LEAD in the area of trends...not follow. So make some extras - in case they become Popular.

The GOP GERRYMANDER is HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Specific. Doesn't affect presidential elections except as a GOP unpopularity fig leaf.
4 ups, 8y,

On the Gerrymander subject, it stands to reason that the house vote would for the most part follow the presidential, which is why the dems did not take the house or even make real gains. I'm not sure where you get the 25% numbers, but they smell a little like poop. I am glad however we agree that she was the worst possible candidate, and creepy Joe would never have gotten a run, as the Clinton machine would have turned on him too. Imagine all the women coming out of the woodwork saying "Joe touched me". Bernie got a bad deal, but was far too left to have won the national and the DNC fixers knew that.
3 ups, 8y,

I think your perception of the political balance is Off. The GOP must have better coaches....cause their people turn out universally _off years etc.

Find me a poll number "strongly support" that's higher...not since W and Cheney.. And.thats their folks.

Bernie beats Trump (and Hillary) in every poll I saw. I guess superdelegates Don't poll well. And Hill's failure to Capture alienated Bernie people may have cost her the election.

Socialism has become less of a dirty word than LIBERAL- probably thanks to OBAMACARE and Tea Party misnomers.

As socialists go Bernie us a moderate democratic socialist...so it was hard for Debbie Wasserman Shultz to create a distinction (with DEMS OR HILL) when asked...

And he's an experienced Congressman/ Senator. So not a hard sell once the Cameras are turned that way.

Obama WON 2012 - and LOST the congrefs. So it may be an algorithm - that can be adjusted during black box "software updates".

Gonna go watch Color get beat up now...I'll look back.

Which is why I'M an Independent. I think the Bi-Cameral System is failing..HAS failed the People. I believe both Parties are irretrievably corrupt, and have not represented their constituents for decades. The numbers and the end results of "how the sausage is made" has proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt that Congress' "constituency" is SuperPACs, multinational corporations, and the obscenely wealthy. The American Dream is nearly dead or IS dead. The middle class is half of what it used to be. What this means is that businesses and employers are doing two major things to the public work force: 1) They've been outsourcing hundreds of thousands of jobs. And 2) They have slashed and slowed down wages, cut benefits, and "downsized" to make more money. You throw in the automation they now want and are developing, and you have a national crisis.

History, facts, and stats/graphs have shown that Republicans are (slightly) more for the culprits mentioned above than the Dems. Big deal. Dems have been caught with their hands in cookie jars, too. I know. But the most corporate/banker friendly HAS been the GOP. This is why they are merely 23% of the national vote, and why Dems are 36% but rapidly losing voters to MY crowd, the Indys. The Republican Party's extremely unpopular nationally. So what did they do? Gerrymandered like crazy, cheating the democratic system. Democrats have also done this, but again, less so. It's funny that millions of very frustrated, very angry people are protesting and Republicans (who lets remember mathematically and factually CAN'T produce a majority vote) are smiling and waving.

Sure. Make all the memes you want. America's burning. And that's no laughing matter.
3 ups, 8y
Regulation and bad trade deals have been the detriment of the middle class. Trade deals, policies and regulations that have supported the rise of large corporate entities in every segment of business in this country as opposed to regional an d local businesses which were the lifeblood of the middle class. Walmart being my favorite example. I was a road rep in Virginia when Wal-mart entered the state, destroying 6-10 businesses in every small town they entered and doing nothing for the community other than LOWERING the number of net jobs. The model; has been repeated now to where almost all categories have been attacked by a similar scourge, sporting goods, pet supply, shoes, groceries and the list goes on. All allowed to happen by non-business oriented buffoons from both sides of the aisle who accepted donations as fast as the checks could be written. These same buffoons who thought we would make up for the job losses with "technical jobs" didn't factor in the losses due to automation and the jobs that would go out of the country because they either didn't anticipate that their policies were pushing them there or possibly even worse, as an unwritten advantage to other countries of signing their deals. My bottom line... NOTHING should be to big to fail except for the USA.

Gerrymandering was for the Dems and munirities in MO or they would have 7 of 8 seats conservative. KC got cut up special just to keep a crooked black preacher in Congress. So it wasn't Rep. Controlled but few of liberal courts giving even more gerrymander to create false liberal districts.
0 ups, 8y
Or correcting an obviously unlawful attempt @ RACIAL GERRYMANDERING. BY Tom DeLay and company.

Sometimes you get it so WRONG intentionally...that the Court is forced to act. So you are complaining about ANY representation for BLACKS - in places like FERGUSON.

Racism is a 2 way street, and as long as whites outnumber blacks, sorry to say we will have a larger number of racist assholes. That doesn't mean that both sides don't have plenty doing their part to perpetuate the divide. While the right has largely ignored the divide, the left has gained a lot of mileage continually pointing it out and then giving it window dressing.

There is an ethnic studies theory - one I hold my mind open to without actually concurring as of yet.

It says that racism is about more than skin or feelings and bias - but rather POWER.

So within the context of the US of A. Blacks lack the power and history to be TRULY RACIST. BIGOTED OR BIASED sure....but not the same.

You make good points...so I thought I should offer that.
4 ups, 8y,

Sorry, going to call bullshit on that one. While everyone can show anecdotally racism against Obama, it was still whites that in the end had to put him in the Whitehouse. Blacks have had power, but many have used that power not to advance the cause but to line their pockets and perpetuate the myth that all of whitey-ville is against them so they can continue to line their pockets. The worst thing that happens is they don't even call out the garbage and replace them for fear of losing standing or being labeled uncle toms. Whites won't do it for fear of being labled racists. I submit to you that is real power, but it is for the leaders and not for the people.

I didn't say that I Hold it to be True...per se.

But I fear that 'subject position' has a lot to do with your perspective.

I Don't defend bigotry or bias against anyone - regardless of history. But I DO have more understanding and TOLERANCE for it in one direction versus the other. But never when to the point if actual injury or damages in ANY Case.

As for those who put Obama there 2 words NEW VOTERS. They Don't show up in the polls - cause 'unlikely' voters. Anti-racist whitesand Dems. But there were anti-racists back during Slavery....hence the underground railroad etc. Still a country buukt IN and BY the worst sort of Racism and dehumanization.

Ethnic studies classes are VERY helpful - PARTICULARLY for decent white folks....

My perspective is about as diverse as it gets, I don't need a professor to tell me what it is/was. It ranges from the onset of forced bussing in Richmond Va to working with Hispanics in carwashes in Phoenix Az. I've seen the good and bad from both sides. I've been to the hood and sat and talked in the homes of millionaire whites and blacks in Scottsdale. The biggest idiots either way I have ever talked to are the professors. All books no life.

Do you mean forced bussing or MANDATORY COURT ORDERED DESEGREGATION - a remedy (poorly) crafted to address De jure segregation and racism....

Not trying to tell you whats up any more than adjunct Prof. Paulie Cruz Takash did for me. But a lot of uncommon info and perspective on the historical roots, and ACTUAL modern legacy etc.

You have broad experience no doubt...but you experience life as a white guy...so subject position may give you a different perspective than someone having tbose experiences from a different subject position.

ES 115(?) Race, Power, Ethnicity and Class. So perhaps a couple of synthesized ideas you might not have seen yet....

And to compare HOOD PASSes with this white boy...is yours endorsed by Dr. Betty Shabazz or the mother of an assassinated Black Panther. The Rev.James Lawson. (a mentor to MLK and, pastor emeritus at the Holman's United Methodist church.)?

Friends in the ShoLine Crips and V13 etc...

I hear a certain type if insensitivity in your language...which is why I made the suggestion. I suspect you would find much of use, and to think about in such a class. At least a perspective in sex you may not jniw exists...
4 ups, 8y,
1 reply
Maybe there is an insensitivity, if so I don't want to say I don't care, but I am also not going to spend my life walking on eggshells and trying to decipher what may be the motivation on the other side of everything. I prefer to take everyone I meet at face value until shown otherwise. If someone is cordial to me, I am cordial to them. If they are indifferent to me than I have no problem moving on. If you want to be rude to me, fine, I have no room or need for you in my world. Maybe that makes me a Neanderthal but to me life experience has done me well. I think we all need to spend more time with our eyes open and learning for ourselves what makes those around us tick as opposed to some sheltered professor who hasn't left the safe spaces of the campus since he/she was a freshman.
3 ups, 8y
Well...suit yourself. In my experience it is truly enriching course of study - with broad and beneficial impacts across my life and conciousness. And I may a have started a bit farther down that road to begin with. So just a sincere suggestion. And eggshells and PC thug life aren't what it's about. When you see the world more accurately - from the perspective of the marginalized other - you automatically check your own language and thought...because its just more pleasant for everyone...if one doesn't go around offending people (with or without intention). It is the unintentional offense that often begins a negative interaction.

Yeah I get that. John, you know what will be interesting to you? In my neighborhood, it was assumed by my appearance that I was a Trump voter. Two Latinas and one young Black woman thought that. I was kinda disappointed with that. But they quickly relaxed when I expressed my disgust with Trump and distrust of Hillary. But yes I voted for her. We'll see. I'm sure everyone still thinks I am/was a Trump supporter. All the racial finger pointing the last few years even has me questioning everyone's motives, including my own. Personally I don't think it's healthy and things are getting as scary as when forced busing began in Virginia when I was in 3rd grade.
0 ups, 8y
What was so Scary about the MANDATORY - COURT ORDERED - REMEDY - for then present RACIST POLICY - DeJure SEGREGATION. Which robbed Black and Brown students of opportunities @ the 1/2 decent schools in the area. And everybody had less opportunity for interaction with people of other races, and diverse backgrounds. Wh8chnis just bad for everyone. You hate what you fear...often. And familiarity may breed contempt - but segregation builds injury and resentment too - in one direction....and fear of the different (xenophobia).

So what was so Scary...the over reaction of Angry whites - with some deep seated racist perspectives.

I guarantee you they didn't "play the white racist card." That's when southern states were still "explaining their Southern heritage" as a good thing; nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to worry about.

If the Clinton's had taken that any other way? You'd see that Rebel Flag replaced with Old Glory. They're too slick for that.
