Wait. Is there such a thing as a bass trombone? I mean, I've heard of a bass guitar, a bass drum, and a bass violin, but not exactly a bass trombone.

Yep, I have one here with me! And the 'bass violin' that you mentioned is actually referred to as a double bass or an upright bass in most cases!
