To make a long story short, it is the very principles upon which the United States was founded.

First, taking info from Wikipedia is sketchy. Second, this country was not founded on the liberalist ideas of today. Yesterday's liberal is today's conservative. And I didn't say anything about the definition of liberalism, I said that liberals whine and shout their opinions and anyone who disagrees with them are hate filled and intolerant.

I can tell you that Wikipedia is peer reviewed and comprehensive. Much more factually accurate and complete than some of the textbooks we used when I was in school.

It's true in some ways, but the whole "old white guy" meaning is an expression. Bernie is different from the usual old white guy. He's not religious, conservative or mean like they often are and I doubt he's 100% white. Originally from Jewish blood mean his family could technically be from the Middle East and people there are not white. Trust me, unless his family converted to Judaism at some point, he could be a decendant of any kind. And Judaism is sort of a culture of it's own. We own Android and Ben and Jerry's for f**ks sake! Makes sence given that Bernie is now pretty Atheistic now and so are a lot of smart people originally Jewish.

I'm not saying there aren't those that don't, but your first statement suggests its genetic, not that because of centuries of oppression the Jewish people have had to be more industrious, especially those in Israel.
