Well they had more respect for sure. Men/boys were taught to protect and defend a women's honour, be kind and polite to them etc. But I guess they had to have one or the other.

I'm speaking of in the form of male chivalry. Men respected women more, treated them more like ladies instead of "ho's" (a term used often now that would never had been used in say the 50's 60s eras) Rampant porn on the internet, Nevada Bunny Ranch, shaking ass and boobie memes! Women now have some rights they didn't have. Like the right to work a 40 hour week job and come home and work the rest of their waking hours to cook, clean and care for children (men rarely pick up their fair share of domestic chores-not saying this for all men-but majority) Children are being raised by strangers and coming home to an over exhausted mom. Women still do not get equal pay for equal work. Women are still slighted on promotions for higher positions. So, really how has women's Lib helped women? A few rights, exhausting schedule and no respect.

A lot of chivalry still exists. . But it's cultural. Some cultures just don't respect women.. they are taught this from an early age too. . Women are bitches and ho's.. or like cattle that can be traded or given into a marriage they did not consent to. The gangsta rap culture has lyrics that demean women.. and approve of violence against them. It's really pathetic.

Is that by making blanket statements, generalizations about how things are "better" or "worse" for any one group or what's "right" or "wrong" for anyone, any race, gender, religion.. It's so subjective, beyond subjective, it's f**king ludicrous. When people cling to this sense that anything is black and white it's the kind of extremism that fuels Muslim terrorists, with the ignition switch being conditions that are intolerable and unlivable. The only thing that separates us from them is the common delusion of freedom and civility that so many of us suffer due to never having seen the way countries that are actually prosperous and equitable work firsthand, nor the wretched poverty and hopelessness the other half exists in. The only comedy that matches the narrow minded views I see on this site is when I try and convince you that maybe, just maybe, you don't have all the answers. Religious people tend to be the worst, too, because more often than not they imagine they could actually know god's will. I believe in God.. And I do my best to live in god's will for me.. But organized religions are f**king clown shoes. Maybe it's god's will that gay people have big parades to celebrate the fact that they're finally a quarter of the way to the rights straight people enjoy in America.. How the hell would you know? If you could understand god's will even a little bit, it wouldn't be a very impressive God at all.

Perhaps it is God's will I make memes that send liberal's into ridiculous tirades on imgflip so they are too busy to think of other ways to "f" up the world :D Now calm down and accept that I can make a meme that you and others might disagree with and you can make a meme that me and others will surely disagree with. :)

What's funny is this type of thinking goes along with what was shown in 50's and 60's 30 minute television shows like Leave it to Beaver and My Three Sons. The idea that women were in heels and Sun dresses cooking a three course dinner for her husband every evening is laughable at best. That wasn't even the case.

I always enjoy your comments, I share many of your opinions. I especially liked the one about women having more respect, you don't hear that too often, but I think it was better for kids and families too. I think it's sad and detrimental for kids to get shipped off to daycare right after being born. I think our country would be better off in many ways if children were getting the love and attention of a stay at home mom.

My four year old daughter never went to daycare and this upcoming school year will be her first time away from the home. She'll be five. School seems to start earlier with each generation. Seems like we have to get them out of the house and away from their parents as quick as possible and have someone else raise them. Sad.
