why do you claim to be my dad but ignore me and give my sisters more attention

In what ways do you feel you're being ignored by your dad? Do you feel it's intentional and he realizes you feel ignored?

my stepdad he treats my other sisters and his real daughter so well but i clean our entire house feed our dogs and sometimes cook dinner but i feel it is intentional cuz i was so close to my real dad before he went to prison and so it took longer for me to warm up to him

BTW that's great you're helping around the house. You show maturity in having responsibilities like that.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty. It does take time to build relationships especially if you have expectations. Might i suggest you not compare, this man to your dad, the way he treats you to your sisters. Is there anything good that happens with your step dad? Things you can be happy about. Are there things you like to do together? Perhaps he's having as much trouble as you warming up? Does he have biological sons, maybe he's not sure how to be a dad to a boy he's suddenly supposed to care for.

im a girl forgot to include that but he does have sons he treats one of them like a king but hes been in my life since i was 9 im 13 now but we were close at one point now we just argue a lot tysm for trying to help btw

I wish I had an explanation, hard to tell why adults do some things. I don't think it's ever a good idea to leave loved ones behind but I don't know the whole story.
